Actualizing Your Plan

Actualizing Your Plan

There’s a big gap between knowing what you want to do and actually getting it done. We want to be focused with laser-like precision on critical tasks and make the best and the most efficient use of our time. Instead, we get distracted, we procrastinate, and we wind up getting too absorbed by unimportant aspects of a single project when we’d be better off turning our attention to other things. Having a plan is not just enough.

The Amazing Truth About God's Grace
By Joyce Meyer , Christian Post Guest Columnist

God’s grace is amazing! We're saved by grace – God's undeserved favor – and we live by grace, which is also God's power in our lives to do what we could never do in our own strength. And it's all because God is love, and He loves us unconditionally, constantly and completely.

Ending the Year with a Positive Focus

Ending the Year with a Positive Focus

Looking back at the year what have you achieved? What are your disappointments and regrets? What are the things you would want to change and improve for next year? I never try to leave a life of regret. I learn from my past to better my today. No matter what the outcome is in life you should endeavour to maintain a positive focus in life. If you want to be successful in life you must learn the habits of the successful and administer these habits in your life. Successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what is going on around them. They stay focused on their past successes rather than their past failures, and on the next action steps they need to take to get them closer to the fulfilment of their goals rather than all the other distractions that life presents to them.

Looking Back with Profit

Looking Back with Profit

Many times we have been advised to leave the past alone and look forward. This advice is not wrong but it is not complete either. The reason this advice is given is the fact that many people look at the pain the past present and they refused to leave that pain behind. The pain becomes their stumbling block for advancing in life and this can be really negative. When the nights are long and you can’t sleep for all the sadness of a past left unresolved; when you cannot grasp the future squarely and move on; when the past haunts both your waking hours and your dreams, it’s likely that you’re in the grip of anxiety and inertia. There will always come a point at which you must cease to stay stuck in the past or it will define you and mark every step you take. So yes it could be advisable to leave the past behind but it is not the real deal. It is not the complete solution.

Dealing with Life’s Challenges

Dealing with Life’s Challenges

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. You can’t change or control what happens to you, or the challenges that you may encounter in life. But you can pay attention to how you respond to them. Meeting challenges responsibly is hard work. Challenges show you what homework you still need to do; they show you the level that you are at. When a challenge hits you, you need to take your attention off why it happened, and focus on what’s now? You need to put your full attention on you, what you are feeling and thinking, and how you are taking care of you.

The Rainy Day Syndrome

The Rainy Day Syndrome

Tryon Edwards quoted by saying “Thoughts lead on to purposes; purposes go forth in action; actions form habits; habits decide character; and character fixes our destiny.”

As I was growing up and learning the issues of life I keep hearing renowned financial characters in our society advice people to save for the rainy day. That statement could be as old as the world itself. I have wondered if anyone actually practice this rainy day saving and if they do since we all know about this kind of saving, how come you are broke without a saving? There must be a genuine explanation for this. From Tryon Edwards quote the starting point was thought and the end point was destiny so it won’t be wrong if one conclude by saying thought leads to destiny. Your destiny is being shaped by your thought. The things you think most are the things that will be seen in your life. Your life basically attracts what you think. How you think is as a result of the files of information that has been stored in you. Thinking produces results. Think big and grow rich. Think small and grow poor. One event can be seen from different point of view by different people due to their pattern and method of thinking. For one the glass is half empty and for the other the same glass is half filled.
