The Necessity of Failing

The Necessity of Failing

Failure is the lack of success. Failure is the neglect or omission of expected or required action. There are lots of definitions of failure depending on the situation. Failure is the state or condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective, and may be viewed as the opposite of success. In this light so many see failure as a negative hence they are not open to embrace the lessons and profits that come with failing.

Profiting from Adversity

Profiting from Adversity

Adversity is a difficult or unpleasant situation. It can be stated as being an unfortunate event. We all face some kind of adversity in our lives and it is the way we respond to it that determines if we are to succeed or fail in life. Your reaction to adversity affects your overall emotional and physical health. Adversity can cause the, often apparent, mechanical reactions of depression and hopelessness. Dealing with, and responding to adverse situations in your life will cause you to have pressure and stress which could result in possible psychological problems.

Repositioning Yourself

Repositioning Yourself

Some people complain about everything in life. Some people are naturally positive and optimistic, whereas others tend to see the world in a more negative light and always think the glass is half-empty. I have come to a point where I understand that there is someone out there who will feel they are in paradise if they are in my position. Yes I want to be better, I want better for me and my family. I work harder to make living better than what it is at the moment but that does not stop me from being grateful for who I am at the moment and celebrate the life I have.

The Right Person for the Job

The Right Person for the Job

Life is a game, you heard me say this before in my series “The Game of Life” and if it is a game it means we constantly face competition. Life is a contact sport, and we will all face competition in our lives no matter what we ultimately choose to do. What separates us is how we respond to challenges! Competition is unavoidable in our daily lives. Life is a battlefield and nothing ever falls from the sky. This is a winners’ world and second place equals second rate. If you cannot grab the seat you get sore legs; if you cannot laud the job, you have to worry about your rent. You just have to be on top of your game if you must survive in this life.

How to Relate with Others

How to Relate with Others

Many people work at least twelve hours in the day meaning they spend more time with their colleagues in the office than their family at home and yet they have nothing to do with their colleagues because to them it is not professional. Truth is we are humans and not robot. This can affect the productivity of the company as people only see themselves as being there for their pay cheque and nothing more.

A conflict is a battle, a struggle, a fight, a discord of action, feeling, or effect; antagonism or opposition, to come into collision or disagreement; be contradictory, at variance, and the list is endless. Here you can see that we all face conflict of one kind or the other in our endeavour to survive.

Overcoming Adversity

Overcoming Adversity

I was interested on how Arsène Wenger spoke to his players to turn what was an adversity in their 2014 FA cup final against Hull City into a success the club has been craving for in the last nine years. Right at this moment you might be experiencing an adversity in your life. In the 2014 FA cup final within five minutes Arsenal FC was two goals down. The history was not in their favour. The first FA Cup competition in season 1871-72 had fifteen entries. That is about one hundred and forty-two years ago. On record it was only one team that has been two goals down and come back to win in 1966 and that was Everton, Merseyside’s against Sheffield Wednesday and this record has be there for forty-eight years now. So Arsenal FC was having an adversity within eight minutes of the game. Before half time they claimed back one goal.

The Integrity of Your Choices

The Integrity of Your Choices

One thing I am sure about me is the fact that my word is my integrity. I don’t make promises to people because I want to belong, also I don’t act in a way that is not familiar with me so I can be accepted. I have come to understand in this life that the exact same qualities I have that make many to love me also make many others to dislike and even hate me. So why should I be a photocopy and not the original me? Why should I reshape my identity for someone who has no respect and regards for me?
