The Sure Word for Today's quotation for the week:
God Created the Heaven and the Earth.
The New Year Declaration — Part 1.
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
Romans 4:17 (KJV).
The way God deals with a situation is by calling things that do not exist into existence. Despite the turbulent storm, Jesus was sleeping peacefully in the deck of a boat. He has full confidence in his divine identity. His sleep signals divine insight: Jesus knows he’s not going to die on the night of the storm.
In Genesis 1:1. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. That was the beginning. Everything looked perfect, but in verse two, there is a situation. Note that many years could have elapsed between verses one and two of Genesis, Chapter one because a day with God is like a thousand years (ref. Psalm 90:4).
The perfect earth was now without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. Things were no longer the way they were created by God. God began to speak and called those things that he wanted to replace the things that have deformed the beauty of the earth. He called out his desire, the solution and not the problem.
You are in another January which is the month of plans, thoughts, and wishes. How you prepare the year will determine what the year will deliver to you. You have the voice to speak to this year just like God spoke to the earth.
To declare is the act of saying aloud what you want in your life in front of one or several people who can witness your words. In this case, you have God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the angels as witnesses. Even principalities and powers in the spiritual realm are witnesses.
Life is in the power of the tongue. The tongue has the power to release life. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words, you will be condemned. Life and strength are accelerated through declarations. Declarations are instrumental for you to enter your promised land. Declarations are a way to overcome anxiety and become glad. Declarations help you call those things that are not as though they are.
