The Sure Word for Today's quotation for the week:
God Renewed my Mind.
The Master of Your Mind — Part 1.
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Proverbs 4:23 (KJV).
The following text is from my book titled "The Power of Image Nation, Chapter 4, The Power of the Mind."
The mind is a wonderful masterpiece that has immense potential. Your unique, powerful mind's characteristic feature is that it keeps roaming, wandering; it operates in something like an automatic mode. Thoughts come and go all the time. The mind continually evaluates things. Your mind has a single function. It exists merely to make decisions about the meaning of incoming sensory data—that is, what you see, hear, feel, smell, and taste. Your mind then groups the decisions in relevant applicable contexts.
The reason your mind groups data into contexts is for straight-up energy efficiency. Rather than seeing every situation as brand new and without context, your mind stereotypes new data according to what you already know about similar data. This frees up the energy of your attention and enables you to save it so you will be able to focus exclusively on new experiences. You will live the same kind of life if you keep thinking and visualising the same mental images.

You can see the power your mind possess. You must be wondering if your mind is more powerful than you. Your mind is indeed a million times more powerful than you think. Who controls your mind? What is mind-control? Can someone control your mind? Yes. So if they can control your mind, who allowed them to manipulate, take over, and control your mind? You. Everything boils down to you. You are the reason why your powerful mind is not efficient. Nothing is wrong with your mind. Your mind is here to serve you. You are the master of your mind—no one else is but you.
Your mind is a potent tool you have for creating good in your life, but it can also be a tremendously destructive force you possess if not used correctly. To control your thoughts means to impact the way you live your life. Your mind is a fantastic servant but a terrible master. You are not a defenceless victim of your thoughts, but rather you are the master of your mind.
