The Sure Word for Today's quotation for the week:
God Gave Is Awesome.
Some Facts About Life — Part 3.
All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
Ecclesiastes 1:7 (KJV).
The third fact about life from our series: LIFE IS UNFAIR.
You should understand that life does not operate on your terms. Life operates on its own terms. Fairness is based on or influence by personal beliefs or feelings, tastes, or opinions. It is based on personal bias. Fairness is contrasted with an objective.
In summary, fairness is subjective. The moment things are going your way, it seems fair. When you are soaring high like the eagles, soaking in all the beautiful things life has to offer, life is fair and fantabulous. But, when you hit some sort of turbulence and rough storms, the moment things are not going your way, you start to feel everything turn against you. Life will feel so unfair.
Your expectations hurt. You suffer because you believe that life is not meant to be painless, and things will seldom go wrong. Life is not always effortless. If life was simple, we would never grow and develop as human beings. You should not expect life to be fair because you are a good and kind person or intelligent and work hard. The rules of life are so complex that it is not the same for everyone. Life does not treat everyone the same, this is for sure, and I think life is unfair because your point of view makes it so.
You need to understand that life is a mixture of numerous torments and baffling situations that may even compel you to unconsciously erase all the beautiful moments and occasions you have experienced. Every instant in life is a bundle of unpredictable surprises, some good and some really tough. This unpredictability makes life an adventure and beauty. Life is not unfair, and it is not fair that life is unfair. Life is what you make of it.
Everyone is a victim of life's presumed unfairness. Life is only unfair to those who give up easily. Life was not meant for those who try only once, then give up, but instead, it is for the determined and strong-minded people who keep trying until they get what they want. Never ever give up. Never ever retreat.
