Some Facts About Life — Part 7.
All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
Ecclesiastes 1:7 (KJV).
The seventh fact about life from our series: THE POVERTY OF THE MIND IS WORSE THAN THE POVERTY OF MATERIAL THINGS.
Poverty is additionally a state of mind and not mere material deprivation. People with a poverty mindset do not have the imagination to help them find ways out of their destitution. Poverty is not only about the lack of money but also the lack of positive imagination. Poverty begins from the mind. The ability to overcome poverty is based on how you think. One of the greatest assets is your mind. You can be poor in your wallet and wealthy in your thinking; that is not poverty.
Most times, it is your mind that controls your action. With enriched thinking, soon, there will be money in your wallet. You are what you think in your heart. The poverty of the mind is a deadly poison that you must get rid of from your system. You are equivalent to your thought. By engaging your mindset most positively, you can become who you think you are because your mind is the engine room of your thought. The kind of things you permit into your mind can either build or destroy your mind. It is your responsibility to guide your heart with diligence. You must allow only thoughts that are positive into your mind. Your mind has no limits.
You can be rich and still poor if you have a poverty mindset. Poverty cannot be measured by your income or lack of income because it is a state of mind. Poverty has nothing to do with money. Poverty is an idea that you have accepted about yourself. Regardless of how those ideas come to you, it is time to realise and run away from poverty. To grow riches, you must start thinking rich. Your thoughts made you. It is in your thoughts that the most significant battles take place. In your mind, you have your greatest anxieties, fears, and afflictions; it is also in your thought you have control over your attitude; you choose to obey, love, and even choose to have thoughts of happiness or sadness. Your thoughts matters.
