Strike the Right Balancers — Part 2.
A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.
Proverbs 11: 1 (KJV).
The planning of your day is vital for productivity. Having a plan in mind, you can envision what is coming. You will have a clear picture of your responsibilities for the day unless an urgent task emerges. You have a higher chance of a victory when you are prepared for the war. If you are attacked without a clue of the impending war, there is the tendency that you might not fight with strategy; you might fight harder than you are supposed to, and your chance of success is limited.
When you wake up knowing what you want to do in the morning, you will be more motivated. You will have less time to procrastinate and instead focus on your work. Advanced planning will enable you to be fully prepared for the task ahead. You are ready both physically and mentally. Your subconscious is willing and prepared to tackle the planned task for the day. One major mistake to avoid is to become too busy working all day without accomplishing anything. To achieve your goal, you must have a plan.
Introducing daily planning into your routine is an easy but essential step to creating a balance in your life. This will allow you to clearly separate your time for the different task you have to complete. It will enable you to strike the right balance. Your life will be less stressful with daily planning. When you have an action plan for the day because you have a laid down plan, you will succeed in eradicating or reducing stress in your life.
With daily planning, you can evaluate yourself. You will stay prepared and ready. The events of the day are not predictable as such, and planning makes you avoid panicking. When you prioritise, you will enjoy numerous benefits. You will get more done. You will enjoy more free time outside your routine. This freedom starts with making a list of what you need to get done.
Make a list or write down the things that are essential for you to accomplish today. Don’t bother about the order for now. Divide your list into the urgent and the important. The urgent are not important, and the important are never urgent.
