The Sure Word for Today

Creating a Vision Board.

Key Bible Verse:
“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it:”
— Habakkuk 2:2

The Affirmation
I write the vision with faith and clarity. God gives me wisdom to plan, focus, act, and run with purpose in every season.

Creating a Vision Board| Part 5

The Sure Word Devotion
Day 5: Focus Your Priorities
A clear vision needs focused priorities. You cannot run effectively with every desire, every idea, every demand, and every distraction pulling your heart in different directions. A vision board should help you remember what matters most, not overwhelm you with everything you could possibly do. Purposeful living requires the courage to choose.

Focusing your priorities means identifying what deserves your time, energy, attention, and discipline in this season. Some things may be good, but not urgent. Some may be attractive, but not aligned. Some may be helpful later, but not necessary now. When your priorities are clear, your decisions become stronger. You stop saying yes to everything and start giving your best to what truly matters.

Today, look at your vision board and ask what must come first. Do not organise your life around pressure, comparison, or noise. Choose the priorities that support your faith, family, growth, work, wellbeing, and assignment. A focused vision gives direction to your daily habits. When priorities are in order, your life becomes more disciplined, your efforts become more fruitful, and your purpose becomes easier to pursue.

Reflection and Application
What matters most in this season?
What distraction keeps taking my attention?
What good thing may need to wait?
Where should I give my best energy?
How can clear priorities strengthen my purpose?

Inspirational Quote by Jefferson Otonbara Imgbi
“Purpose becomes stronger when priorities become clear. You cannot pursue everything with equal strength and still run well with the vision God gave you.”

Let Us Pray
Father, help me focus my priorities with wisdom. Teach me to recognise what matters most and release what distracts me. Order my time, energy, and attention so I can pursue purpose with clarity, discipline, and faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
