THE SURE WORD FOR TODAY'S QUOTATION FOR THE WEEK:
I Can Do All Things Through Christ Which Strengtheneth Me.
Make Time for Your Highlight — Part 2.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13 (KJV).
The time has come for you to identify the parasites in your life. They take up your time, your space, and your thought. Your time is your most valuable asset, yet they feed off your time. You have wasted too much time with them. You need to start making time for your highlights.
Apart from human parasites, other parasites could include email, social media, and breaking news. These things are everywhere these days, and they are not going away. You are not created to live in caves or throw away your gadgets and avoid technology entirely. You have all the power to redesign how you use technology to stop the distractions and time-wasting.
Don't tell me you don't know or have highlights in your life, those moments that define who you are. Those moments impacted your life so much and gave you exceptional memories. These are moments when you are yourself and express yourself without fear or intimidation.
Your highlights enable you to showcase your personality, and the truth is you can make highlights out of anything. So why are you not making time for your highlight? Why are you wasting time on things that will make you sad in the long run, on people that do not accept you for who you are? Why are you trying so hard to please these people when they don't deserve your time and attention?
You have been struggling to achieve focus and make time for what matters. Your brain needs energy, which comes from taking absolute care of your body. Your body is essential. Your life matters. You deserve more. One effective way to love yourself is to spend the time to charge your battery through exercise, food, sleep, quiet moments, taking a 20-minute nap, and colouring a book. Pick something light and relaxing to read. Do something extra special for yourself.
Start building a customised daily system tailored to your unique habits and routines, your unique brain and body, and your unique goals and priorities. Remember, you don't need to be perfect. You need to create space in your life for the things that matter. Make time to bring attention and satisfaction to what's working well.
All Scripture quotations are taken from the King James Version of the HOLY BIBLE unless otherwise indicated.
