Love builds honour because marriage becomes stronger when husband and wife treat each other with value. Honour means you do not reduce your spouse to their weaknesses, mistakes, or limitations. You recognise their worth and respond with respect, even when correction is needed. Love that is patient, kind, and humble naturally produces honour.
Dishonour often enters quietly through sarcasm, public embarrassment, dismissive words, comparison, or ignoring your spouse’s feelings. Over time, dishonour weakens trust and makes the heart guarded. Honour does the opposite. It protects dignity. It listens carefully. It speaks respectfully. It values the person, not only what they do. A spouse who feels honoured is more likely to feel safe, loved, and emotionally connected.
Today, build honour through your words and actions. Speak well of your spouse. Appreciate something specific. Avoid jokes or comments that make them feel small. Ask for their opinion before making a decision that affects both of you. If you have dishonoured them, apologise sincerely. Honour is not an occasional compliment. It is a daily decision to handle your spouse’s heart, name, and presence with care.
