Understanding Love.

Key Bible Verse:
“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,”

The Affirmation
We grow in patient and kind love. We reject pride, envy, and selfishness, and we choose humility, honour, and truth in our marriage daily.

Understanding Love | Part 7

The Sure Word Devotion
Day 7: Love Keeps Growing
Love must keep growing because marriage is a living relationship, not a finished achievement. Patient love, kind love, humble love, and honouring love must be practised daily. If love stops growing, habits can become careless, words can become sharp, and connection can become routine. Understanding love means you keep choosing the character of love, even after years together.

Growth in love requires attention and correction. You must notice where pride has entered, where kindness has reduced, where patience has weakened, and where honour needs rebuilding. Love does not grow by accident. It grows when husband and wife remain teachable. It grows when both people refuse envy, reject pride, apologise sincerely, and serve with consistency. A strong marriage is built by love that keeps learning.

Today, decide how love will keep growing in your marriage. Choose one love quality from this week and practise it deliberately. Be more patient. Speak more kindly. Celebrate without envy. Reject pride quickly. Honour your spouse with words and actions. Do not settle for yesterday’s love when today gives you another opportunity to build. Love keeps growing when you keep choosing it with humility and truth.
