Series Title: The Importance of Self-Care in Recovery. Part 4

The Sure Word for Today

Spiritual self-care is about intentionally nurturing your relationship with God. Jesus often retreated to pray and reconnect with the Father, even in the midst of His busy ministry. Luke 5:16 says, "And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed." In those quiet moments, Jesus found renewal and strength. You can experience the same by dedicating time to prayer, worship, and meditating on God's Word. These practices ground you in His peace, enabling you to navigate life's challenges with resilience.

Connecting with God through spiritual self-care brings clarity and perspective. Like King David, who turned to God in worship and prayer amidst trials, you can pour out your heart before Him. Psalm 62:8 reminds you to trust in Him at all times and to pour out your heart before Him. These moments of connection anchor your spirit, reminding you that God is your refuge and source of strength.

Your spirit thrives when you prioritise time with God. Prayer, worship, and scripture meditation are not just religious acts; they are vital practices that align you with God's purpose. By seeking Him first, you create space for His peace to reign in your heart. Spiritual self-care is an act of faith, acknowledging that in Him, you find proper rest and renewal.

Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father, thank You for inviting me to find rest in Your presence. Help me prioritise spiritual self-care through prayer, worship, and reflection on Your Word. Fill my heart with peace and strengthen my spirit as I seek You. Teach me to quiet my soul and trust in Your plan. May Your presence guide me through challenges, and may I always find my refuge in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
