The Sure Word for Today

True joy is not found in material possessions or fleeting emotions but in anchoring your happiness in God. Nehemiah 8:10 declares, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” When you rely on God’s presence, you experience a deep, unshakable joy that transcends circumstances. This joy empowers you to face challenges with confidence and peace. By anchoring yourself in God’s love and promises, you can build a life of enduring happiness and strength.

God’s presence offers lasting joy that cannot be taken away. King David expressed this in Psalm 16:11, saying, “In thy presence is fulness of joy.” Like David, you can find peace and fulfilment by drawing closer to God in prayer and worship. Happiness rooted in God’s love is not dependent on external conditions but on your relationship with Him. Seek Him daily, and let His joy strengthen and sustain you.

Life’s uncertainties may shake your happiness, but God’s joy is your foundation. The Apostle Paul, even in imprisonment, wrote about rejoicing in the Lord (Philippians 4:4). His example shows you that joy in God is unshaken by external trials. Trust God’s presence to bring renewal, resilience, and happiness. Anchor your life in Him, and experience the abundant joy He promises.

Isaiah 12:3 says, “Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” This verse reminds you that joy comes from your relationship with God and His salvation.

Let Us Pray

Dear Lord, thank You for being the source of my joy and strength. Teach me to anchor my happiness in Your presence and not in temporary things. Help me to trust in Your promises and find peace in every circumstance. Strengthen me with Your joy and guide me to share this joy with others. Let my life reflect the happiness that comes from knowing You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
