"The Abundance of the Free Favour of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19
Hi Visitor,
Purpose begins to take shape when you understand your "why." Jesus knew His. At twelve, He said, "I must be about my Father's business." That clarity shaped every decision He made. Your why is the inner conviction that guides you, fuels you, and defines your direction. It is the reason you rise, persist, serve, and grow. Until you know your why, you will live reacting to life rather than leading it.
Discovering your why requires reflection. What breaks your heart? What energises you? What have you overcome that now helps others? Your purpose is often hidden in your experiences, passions, and values. It is not always loud or obvious—but it is present. When you slow down long enough to listen, patterns emerge. These patterns point to calling. When you honour them, you begin to live with focus and inner peace.
Today is a call to pay attention. Do not drift. Do not chase every opportunity. Get clear about what truly matters. When your actions reflect your why, your life gains power. You become anchored—not tossed by trends, opinions, or fear. Your why is your compass. It keeps you from wasting energy on things that do not serve your purpose.
Think about a time when you felt fulfilled entirely—not just happy, but deeply purposeful. What were you doing? Who were you helping? What did that moment reveal about your values and strengths? Often, these moments contain clues to your why. When you connect with them, you begin to shape your life with direction, not just activity.
From Joseph's dreams to Paul's missionary passion, purpose shows up early and reveals itself over time. Scripture shows that clarity comes when you embrace your gifts and accept your story. Your calling does not need to look like someone else's—it needs to be rooted in who you are and what you are uniquely designed to offer. Let that truth guide you toward discovery, not comparison.
Set aside time today to journal answers to three questions: What energises me? What angers me in the world that I feel called to fix? What have I overcome that now gives me insight or strength? These reflections will uncover common threads. Begin building your decisions around these answers, and you will discover the fuel that drives your purpose.
"When you know your why, your steps gain meaning, your work gains focus, and your life becomes a force that cannot be ignored."
May God bless your heart with clarity so that you can discover the why behind your life. May He stir your spirit to recognise what moves you, strengthens you, and reveals your calling. Let your days be filled with focus and passion, driven by truth and not distraction. May your journey be anchored in the purpose that you alone were created to fulfil. In Jesus' name, Amen.
