"The Abundance of the Free Favour of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19
Hi Visitor,
Forgiveness is not about who deserves it. Matthew 6:14 says, "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you." Often, the hardest forgiveness is for those who never apologise, never admit their wrong, and never change. Yet, forgiveness is not about them; it is about your freedom. It is a decision to stop allowing someone else’s actions to hold power over your heart and mind.
When you forgive without an apology, you break free from waiting for someone else’s repentance to find your peace. You reclaim your power and close the door on bitterness. You are not excusing what happened. You are choosing to rise above it, to heal, and to move forward stronger and lighter. This does not mean trust is automatically restored or boundaries are erased. It means you choose peace over poison.
Reflect today on who you need to forgive without conditions. Release them from your judgment so you can be released from the prison of resentment. You do not forgive because they asked. You forgive because your destiny is too important to carry their offence any longer.
Think about someone you are still waiting on to say “sorry.” How long has that wait held you back? Holding that expectation ties your healing to their choices. You deserve freedom now. Forgive for your growth, not their approval.
Jesus forgave while being crucified, saying, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” Stephen, as he was being stoned, prayed for his attackers. These acts were not a weakness. They were powerful declarations of spiritual strength and trust in God’s justice.
Write the name of the person or people you need to forgive. Then write, “I release you today for my peace.” Pray over it and ask God for the strength to truly let go, even if your emotions do not yet agree.
"Forgiveness is not a gift you give them. It is a gift you give yourself to unlock your future."
May God bless your heart with the courage to forgive those who have hurt you deeply. May His grace heal every wound and restore your joy. Let your spirit be free from the chains of resentment, and may you walk forward with a renewed sense of peace and purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
