"The Abundance of the Free Favour of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19
Hi Visitor,
Words are powerful tools. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” What you speak can either tear down or build up, cause division or bring healing. In moments of conflict, words have the power to wound deeper than any action. At the same time, they can also open doors for restoration and peace when chosen wisely.
Your words reveal what is in your heart. In conflict, harsh words often come from pride, fear, or pain, while gentle words reflect love, patience, and understanding. A soft answer can calm tension, while careless words can escalate it beyond control. You may not be able to control another person’s reaction, but you can control what you say and how you say it.
Today, commit to using your words as instruments of healing. Before you speak, ask: Will this bring peace or stir anger? Will it encourage or discourage? When you choose words that heal, you become a vessel of God’s peace, and you strengthen the foundation of every relationship around you.
Think of a moment when someone’s words either broke you or helped you rise. Those words left a lasting impact. You have that same power. Let it remind you to choose each word with care and love.
Jesus spoke words that healed, restored, and brought life. His words calmed storms, raised the dead, and comforted the broken. You carry that same potential in your daily conversations. Speak life everywhere you go.
Write down a situation where your words can bring healing today. Then write, “I choose words that build and heal.” Keep this as a reminder throughout your interactions.
"Your words can be weapons or bandages. Choose to heal, not to harm."
May God bless your heart with wisdom to speak words that bring peace and life. May He guide your tongue to encourage, comfort, and strengthen others. Let your speech reflect His love and transform every conflict into an opportunity for healing and growth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
