Day 1: Defining What Truly Matters in Life

Life gains clarity when you know what truly matters. Matthew 6:21 says, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Your priorities reveal your values. When your attention is scattered, peace disappears, but when you focus on what matters most, your energy aligns with purpose. Knowing what is most important allows you to spend time intentionally and live meaningfully.

Solomon had wisdom, wealth, and power, yet he concluded that fearing God and keeping His commandments were the true essence of life. Everything else, he said, was vanity. This realisation shows that success without alignment to purpose leaves you empty. The more you define your values, the clearer your path becomes.

Today, take time to define what matters most. When you know your purpose, your decisions become simpler and your life more fulfilling. Focus gives direction, and direction gives peace.

Connect: Your Challenge and Response

Your challenge may be living reactively without clarity about what is truly important. Your response must be to pause, reflect, and define the core values and purposes that should guide your decisions.

Extend: Faith in Action

Take ten minutes today to list your top five priorities in life. Compare them with how you spend your time and make adjustments to align action with intention.
