"The Abundance of the Free Favour of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19

Hi Visitor,
True progress begins when you learn to put first things first. Matthew 6:33 teaches, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Many people fail to manage time effectively because they prioritise urgency over importance. When you focus on what is essential rather than what demands immediate attention, you create lasting success instead of constant stress.
Jesus always placed purpose before pressure. Even when crowds sought His attention, He withdrew to pray and realign with the Father’s will. That decision ensured that every miracle, teaching, and step was purposeful. Putting first things first is not about doing more, it is about doing what matters most.
Today, evaluate your priorities. If everything feels urgent, nothing truly is. Focus on what adds long-term value to your faith, relationships, and growth.

Your challenge may be spending time reacting to what feels urgent while neglecting what builds purpose. Your response must be to slow down, think clearly, and put the most important things first.
Before you start your day, list your top three priorities and pray for wisdom to handle them well. Let your schedule reflect your values, not just your responsibilities.
What are the first things that deserve your time each day? Are your current routines helping or hindering your progress toward them?
"When you put first things first, you stop chasing pressure and start creating peace."

Lord, give me the discipline to prioritise what truly matters. Teach me to put purpose before pressure and value before urgency. Help me structure my days around what brings growth, meaning, and alignment with Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
