"The Abundance of the Free Favour of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19

Hi Visitor,
Silence during a storm can feel unsettling. In Matthew 8:23–27, Jesus was asleep while the waves crashed around the boat. His silence was not neglect. It was trust in His authority over the storm. Silence does not mean absence. It often means that God is not threatened by what is threatening you. Faith is tested when God feels quiet, not when He speaks loudly.
Job experienced seasons where God seemed silent while suffering continued. Yet Job’s silence from God did not remove God’s presence. Silence refined Job’s faith and exposed his assumptions. God’s work was not paused. It was deeper. Silence often invites you to trust God’s character rather than rely on constant reassurance. Faith matures when it rests without immediate answers.
Today, do not interpret silence as distance. God is still present, still aware, and still in control. Trust grows when you hold steady without needing constant confirmation. Even when prayers feel unanswered and heaven seems quiet, God’s authority remains active. Stay faithful. Stay grounded. The calm will come, and the silence will make sense in time.

You may feel unsettled when prayers seem unanswered or God feels quiet. The right response is to trust His presence and authority even when reassurance is not immediate.
Sit quietly for a few minutes today without asking for answers. Focus on trust instead of words. Let stillness strengthen your faith.
How do you usually react to silence during difficult seasons? What would change if you chose trust over anxiety while waiting for clarity?
"Silence does not signal absence. Faith grows when you trust the calm authority behind the quiet moments."

Lord, help me to trust You when silence feels uncomfortable. Strengthen my faith when answers delay and reassurance feels distant. Teach me to rest in Your presence and authority, knowing You are always aware and in control. Calm my heart and guide me through every quiet season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
