you will eventually attract the right strategy.
If you don’t have a clear vision, no strategy will save you. In the absence of a clear strategic direction, you will always do what you think is right and this won’t always give you the best results you anticipate. What you are going to achieve in this instance will be based on your personal definition. This will limit your level of success because your definition will always be limited. Whether you know it or not, you’re operating according to a personal vision right now. Once you’ve clearly defined your vision and shared it, your activities, the activities of the people you attract towards your vision and the resources you need to put in place to make your vision a reality will come into alignment with that common destination.
It is very important you know what your vision is. If you don’t understand your own vision, then it means you can’t achieve your vision. Your vision creates focus. Focus is the centre of interest or activity. In a very busy world where everything is happening, you need to stay focused in order to achieve your vision. There are too many distractions. You need discipline not to get distracted. Staying focused in your life and your business is all about keeping the important things important. Distractions can sidetrack and even discourage you from staying focused and going positively forward, toward your short-term and long-term goals. Nothing can add more power to your life than concentrating all your energies on a limited set of targets. By being focused you don’t have to do everything and be everywhere.
Lots of people are unable to accomplish much because they scatter their energy and this makes it less effective. It loses its power to accomplish anything worthwhile. Scattering energy is scattering your ability to get and to stay focused on what is important now and into the future. Constantly changing the focus and direction dilutes the ability to fully concentrate on what is most important to achieve short-term and long-term objectives.
Consistency is a major key to staying focused. The ability to know what you want, why you want it and then working a consistent plan of action is vital to achieving your personal, professional and financial goals. Constantly changing direction is giving yourself an unconscious message that you really don’t know what you want. Inconsistency often leads to self-limiting and self-sabotaging behaviours.
In order to achieve your vision you need to stay focused and motivated. According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, motivation is a force or influence that causes someone to do something. The question is, what motivates you? People that can motivate themselves are very lucky as they don’t need any external factor to motivate them. It means they can recover quicker if they’re down. They have developed their mind to stay positive at all time no matter what they go through. But, how? How do you motivate yourself, and stay motivated long enough to achieve success? To motivate yourself on a daily basis, you must set goals and monitor them on a daily basis. Zig Ziglar said: “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing—that’s why we recommend it daily.”
As you monitor your goals, you will undoubtedly need to make adjustments in some of your daily tasks in order to keep you on track toward meeting your your interim benchmarks and, in turn, your ultimate goal. The best time to review your goals and make necessary adjustments is first thing every morning.
You need imagination or wisdom to create your vision. Imagination is the ability to form a mental image of something that is not perceived through the five senses. It is the ability of the mind to build mental scenes, objects or events that do not exist, are not present, or have happened in the past. Imagination makes it possible to experience a whole world inside the mind. It gives the ability to look at any situation from a different point of view, and to mentally explore the past and the future. Imagination is a creative power that is necessary for inventing an instrument, designing a dress or a house, painting a picture or writing a book. The creative power of imagination has an important role in the achievement of success in any field.
Wisdom is the “ability to judge correctly and to follow the best course of action, based on knowledge and understanding. Wisdom is defined as “The quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise.” Widom enables you to have good judgement about situations and things in life. The important thing is to grow and learn from your experiences. When you have good judgment you will always be solving problems, seeing better results, and moving forward. Wisdom is one of the greatest virtues a person can have because it means that you have not only learnt from your experiences, but, can live by them. Wisdom can be the light that guides your life. Wisdom enables you to see the truth and not to be blinded by others. Clever people learn from their own mistakes, but the master learns from the mistakes of others. Anyone can have knowledge. But if you have wisdom, you can put your knowledge to use.
Goals are an important part of getting what you want out of life. They can also be specific enough that we miss the forest for the to-do lists, we made out of the trees. To put the concept very simply, the goals are the “how” you achieve something. Exercise every day, develop a business plan, spend less time at work. Vision, on the other hand, is the “why.” What do you want to get out of life? When you look back in a couple decades, what do you want to see?
To create a vision, begin by identifying your core values, your passions, what you believe to be your purpose, and how you envision your life. From there, be more specific and remember to be clear. Your vision should embody your values and your view of the future without being too generic. Your vision can also change over time. The point is to have one so you know why you’re doing what you do, and you’re happier doing it. The same process applies when you’re creating a vision for any other aspect of your life, such as your career or business.
A clear vision helps you pursue dreams and achieve goals; an idea of the future, a strong wish. A vision that is clear will open your mind to the endless possibilities of the future. A vision will help you to overcome obstacles and helps you hold on when times are tough. A vision that is well defined helps you to focus and create a purpose that becomes your measurement of your success. If you do not have a vision of who you want to be, how you want to succeed or what you want out of life, you begin to lack drive and your life becomes just an order of events.
A strong and current vision connects with your passions and greatest potentials. Regardless of what is going on in the world or challenges that present themselves, a vision helps you know what and why you are doing the things you are doing. Having a vision is most important in the path of your success in life. You feel much more valuable as a person when you set and achieve your visions and goals. If you don’t have a vision, you don’t have a life.
