When Nothing is Working. Featured

There are moments in your life that there is stillness and it looks like nothing is working. The worst is you can’t think, your mind no longer functions and soon, you start losing confidence, you stop believing in you and maybe, you just opened the door for anxiety and panic attack.

At this stage, your life is in a total mess. You are afraid of life. You are afraid you won’t make it to see another day, but unfortunately for you, life has the better, you stay alive to see tomorrow. When tomorrow comes you no longer have the motivation nor the strength to face it and you feel like dying. At low times like this, you should always think of the people that fought to stay alive but couldn’t. They would have rather love to switch places with you. No matter what life throws at you, never ever give up. No matter how many times you might fall, if you need to crawl, just keep crawling until there is strength on your feet to stand and walk. Don’t stay down.

I have been seriously sick and close to death. I felt pain in a way I cannot describe. It was in 1998 when I was alone for three days in a coma before found and taken to the hospital. When I came through, the medications were not working. I needed a miracle and the miracle came through Fred Hammond and the Radical for Christ “Praise in the House.” There was life in my spirit, I refused to stay down. Something in me snapped and it was time to rise again.

I have been imagining as I try to understand what makes one person succeed at living their dream life; what separates them from the rest that continue to struggle all throughout their life and never get “there.”  What makes someone have a spontaneous remission from a terminal cancer, or get hold of their diabetes, lose weight, go off all sorts of drugs but not the other person? The other person struggles with it, tries hard (or it seems like) but they never reach that dream health, and happiness. Is it their genes, their environment, their mindset? What is it?

Most times we spend our energy as we focus on the things that are not working. Somehow, due to our attention we help support these things not to work. To live above the circumstances, you encounter, you need to have the courage to acknowledge all you have. You need to be able to visualise what you want to have and hold the emotions you get from that vision. You then need to manifest what you got from the vision. This sounds simple, but it is not. All I am saying is to create a positive environment no matter what. You can do this by writing at least three things you are grateful for every day. Once you start gaining confidence you can increase your list of five, ten and maybe twenty or more.

The moment you start seeing the good in the bad situation, you have succeeded in turning the situation to favour you. This does not happen automatically, it takes time, but it works. Paint that dream perfect picture of your life, having it all (perfect health, abundance, love, etc.). The power of expectation subconsciously controls your life to finally create self-fulfilling prophesies. The expectations of those around you modify your behaviour for better, or for worse. Your own expectations can fill you with energy, or drive you into despair and despondency.

We all know is that positive thinking has power. If we believe it’s possible to achieve a goal or perform particularly well, we’re more likely to overcome obstacles and persevere until we achieve our goal. The Power of Expectation is a major key element if you really want to manifest your desires. Expect to see what you want to see. Visualise it like it has already happened. You cannot intend one thing and expect another to happen if you want to be in full alignment with your intent. Some say that they want one thing, but they are still thinking about the way things have been and expecting things to continue being the same way. You must focus on how you want things to be, by deliberately expecting them to happen.
There is this Bible verse that says it all:

Romans 4: 17 (KJV) “(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.”

God in this verse did not focus on the circumstances, but he rather call the solution (expectation) to create his reality. Expect and anticipate that it is going to happen. It is almost like you are so sure of it being in the natural order of things that you have no doubt about its impending appearance. Expectation is the spiritual equivalent of seeing that you’re moving towards your destination in the physical world. You can’t see the spiritual world with your physical eyes because it’s invisible but you can see it with your act of expecting.

When you have failure after failure, disappointment after disappointment, it can be incredibly easy to slip into a pity-party type of attitude. And for good reason. But you can still change your life when nothing’s working out, mainly because your happiness is a mindset. You can’t control things other than your efforts and our responses. Ditch the control freak attitude, because if you don’t, you will grind yourself to the ground. You can try your hardest, but sometimes things still won’t work out. Why? Because outcomes aren’t only contingent on you — there’s a plethora of people out there that tip the scales for you and there's nothing you can do about it.

Life is not about winning all the time. This kind of mentality could be a blockage that could drain you. Try to see your obstacles as an opportunity. Viewing your challenges less as an obstacle to be overcome and more of an opportunity to hone your ability so you can focus on the things you desire. Those obstacles are chances to learn, improve yourself, and become stronger. Don’t shy away from obstacles to your goal. It takes pressure to make a diamond and fire to make gold.

“The rose is a rose from the time it is a seed to the time it dies. Within it, at all times, it contains its whole potential. It seems to be constantly in the process of change; yet at each state, at each moment, it is perfectly all right as it is.” ~Timothy Gallwey.

You are perfectly alright. Don’t allow the circumstance you go through bully you into thinking otherwise. Don’t be defeated by the negative experiences you have. You were created a champion so find the inner champion in you.

When things are not working, you need to stop trying so hard. It’s better not to be so emotionally attached to the outcome. Sometimes you need to make a small change to get the ball rolling.
