I prefer to use a payment gateway on the Internet for purchase as I don’t want to share my card details with every Internet merchant. A gateway is any data communication device or program that provides a remote network with connectivity to a host network. A payment gateway

allows Internet traders to process payments in an electronic form. They access a credit card, debit card, and other alternative online payments without revealing the payment details to the traders. The payment gateway is the go-between ensuring the customer data is encrypted and secure. A gateway is a key stopping point in the entire payment process.

Confidence is the certainty you have about handling something. You have confidence when you feel sure of yourself and your abilities, not arrogantly, but in a realistic, and a secure manner. Having confidence is not about feeling superior to others. Confidence is very vital and essential if you must achieve anything in life. You must stop undermining your confidence and work to give it the ingredient to succeed. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines self-confidence as confidence in yourself and your powers and abilities. You have confidence when you are certain about your abilities, qualities, and judgement. How can you convince anyone to be certain about you when you are uncertain about you? Self-confidence is not shallow. You have an in-depth sense of self-awareness within you, and it makes you confident without fear.

Confidence is not something you can fake. You can pretend, but others will see your lack of confidence through your attitude. You carry it as a price tag on your forehead, your body language, your smiles, your handshake, and your totality. Nobody should tell you otherwise. Confidence is crucial. Confidence is a tool that can help you manage your fears, tackles life's challenges with more certainty and enables you to keep a positive mental attitude. It is easy to get depressed when you lack confidence. Confidence is the gateway to living a life above your challenges, a gateway to success, to the life that you want, and to the dreams that you want. Confidence is a vital key that connects everything about your desires, goals, and ideas together. The significant difference between success and failure is confidence; it is the difference between holding on or giving up. Confidence connects to every element involved in a happy and fulfilling life. Confidence gives you the skills, mentality, perseverance, and coping methods to handle setbacks and failure.

With confidence, you can boldly progress towards your ambitions and aspirations. You need confidence to pass an exam. You need confidence to succeed. Without confidence, you cannot be a winner. With confidence, you can rise and handle life’s demands and challenges. With confidence, you can tackle any hurdle or obstruction and move on to the next step of your journey to fulfilment and achievement. Confidence is the crux that allows you to achieve your real potential in whatever situation: your relationships, your work or career, your finances, and your self-image. What else can I tell you about how much you need confidence in all your endeavours? Having confidence doesn’t mean sometimes you won’t fail. It encourages you and motivates you to handle any situation.

The lack of confidence is not because you are a terrible person, or weak. When your belief is threatened, you begin to lose confidence. There are too many events in life that can puncture your belief for it to start leaking. It becomes easy to stop trusting your abilities. You begin to grow in doubt, and it can lead to anxiety, depression, and all other issues. You need to protect your confidence from life scavengers trying to eat and devour it. When things don’t turn up the way you want, it is easy to lose your confidence. Constant failure can also result in a loss of confidence. Rejection is another reason you can lose your confidence. Rejection comes in different form and sizes. It could be a rejection for a job. It hurts when rejected for any reason. You can lose confidence when you lack knowledge as well. Lack of experience can result in a lack of confidence.

“Repetition is the mother of skill,” you may have heard, and so it goes with confidence. The more you do something, the better you get at it, the more you feel capable, and eventually skilled – confident.  Avoid people that bring you down. They have a way to drain your confidence. I have had my share of negative friends in life. One thing I regularly do is I don’t allow them into my space – my head. If they become overwhelming, it is not a crime to move on. I remove them from my life without their knowledge.

To build your confidence, you must find your negative attitude, the root cause of your lack of confidence. You want to deal with the problem from its root, and not the branches. Find your negative thoughts. Understand why you are negative in these aspects of your life. Why are you pessimistic? Can you succeed if you work at it? You must look for ways to turn your negative thought into positive. Resist and refuse to focus on negative thinking. Anytime the negative thinking wants to occupy your mind, replace it with the positive impression of the exact negative thought.

Stop comparing yourself with others. You are unique, for there is none like you. The comparison is not healthy. It is a bad habit. You might end up experiencing envy, a deadly negative attitude if you indulge in self-comparison. Thinking that other people are better or have more will erode your confidence in yourself. When you notice you are drawing comparisons, you must remind yourself that doing so is not in any way helpful. Life is not a competition. They are in their lane running their race. Stay on your path and focus on your race.

Your body is the temple of God. You need to take care of your body because God dwells in your body. It is difficult to feel good about yourself if you disrespect and abuse your body. You don’t expect others to love you when you don’t love yourself. That will be hypocritical. You must practice self-compassion. You will treat yourself with kindness, if you have self-compassion when you make a mistake, feel, or experience a setback. How nice you want others to speak politely to you when you speak harshly to yourself?

By taking concrete actions that improve your competence, your self-image, you can increase that self-confidence, without the help of anyone else. Groom yourself. Dress nicely. Think positive. Kill negative thoughts. Get to know yourself and fall in love with you. Act positively and be kind, and generous. Stand tall no matter what. Increase your competence by studying. Be a goal setter and endeavour to achieve your goals. Start today by changing small habits. It can make a huge difference over time. Stop focusing on your problems, instead seek solutions and focus on the solution. Keep smiling even when things are in a mess. Don’t be lazy. Exercise is very empowering and can build your confidence and make it skyrocket.
